Changing yourself or your life for the better…..it’s hard and that’s why a lot of people don’t do it.
Changing in an upward direction (becoming better) carries a level of sorrow, of sacrifice, of loss.
Change requires you to give up something that made you feel good (certain foods, habits, alcohol, watchingTV, scrolling, etc) .
It requires you to INSTEAD do something that might not feel good, that is hard, that is not comfortable.
You will choose the path of growth and change when you reach a point where the pain of your current condition is GREATER than the pain of changing.

And when you finally do choose the pain of growth you will never regret it 💫🏆🌱

The gap between all the results you want to experience and where you currently are….that gap has only 1 bridge and it is consistency.

Your feet are the foundation for your whole body when it comes to movement (locomotion)!

Here at Living Younger Fitness you will find everyone training without shoes. Here are the advantages:

1. Improves Balance and Stability
Without cushioned shoes, your feet have direct contact with the floor, allowing you to better feel the ground and create a more stable foundation. This can improve balance during exercises like squats, deadlifts, and lunges.

2. Strengthens the Feet and Ankles
The small muscles in your feet and ankles must work harder when barefoot, helping improve foot strength, ankle stability, and overall lower-body function.

3. Enhances Body Awareness (Proprioception)
Training barefoot increases sensory feedback from the floor, helping your brain better understand your body’s position and movement. This can improve coordination and movement quality.

4. Promotes Natural Movement Patterns
Many athletic shoes alter foot mechanics. Barefoot training allows the foot to move more naturally, encouraging proper toe engagement, arch function, and weight distribution.

5. Can Improve Lifting Mechanics
For exercises such as deadlifts and squats, being barefoot eliminates the soft, compressible sole found in many running shoes. This creates a more direct transfer of force into the ground and may improve lifting efficiency.

So if you want a better return on your lift g sessions, ditch the shoes and let your foundation (feet) get stronger too.
