Advanced Fascia & Embodied Movement 25-hr Training
March 2027!

Feel like you know the body? This training will help you see the body less as "parts" and more as their relationships.

Fascia is a continuous, living network that transmits force, stores energy, senses change, and responds to load, stress, hydration, and experience. In this training we will explore fascia as both a physical structure and a sensory organ, helping you understand why movement is never isolated and why the body rarely behaves in straight lines.

For something a little different... a weekend retreat for the women making the plans, organizing the schedules, hitting the deadlines - often while creating boundaries for others but not for themselves.

Join Jillian Schecher and myself in the YEG river valley October 17 & 18 for this re-centering retreat created for those who rarely put themselves first.

If this sounds familiar or calls to that little voice in your heart, then you need to be in this room.

Details in link.
2 ticket options available: 1 day for $497 or both days for $697

Ever wonder what it's like to be a the front of the room? Curious about how Yoga teachings can support, shift, or change how you live your life?
This is the only in-person 200-hour training I will be facilitating this year... and you should join us!

I believe this is the 9th year of our YTT program and I know that Trista Davis will agree with me that this 9-month program is a labour of love that we are immensely proud to be a part of.

Beginning in September we meet weekly online and monthly in-person. All sessions are also available to attend remotely, if you are not local to YEG. Over the years we have had graduates from the Yukon, Nevada, British Columbia, Southern Alberta, and more!

No matter where you are in your life, your movement journey, or on the globe, this program through Above Average Wellness can support your learning.

Advanced Anatomy - Musculoskeletal Training
Begins Sept

Get nerdy with me as we move beyond memorizing muscles. Learn to understand how the body actually moves, adapts, compensates, and communicates.

This 18-hour Advanced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Training is designed for yoga teachers or movement facilitators who want to bridge the gap between anatomy knowledge and real-world application.

One thing I have learned from doing thousands of autopsies is that no 2 bodies are a like... so why would we move the same?

This course is part of the Above Average Wellness 300-hr YTT, however it is also for anyone interested in understanding the human body and its movements more deeply.

A blend of online & in-person hours.
(Can be attended virtually if you are not local.)

One of my favourite courses to teach is starting on July 30!
This is the 3rd year of Nervous System Integration and each year the conversations feel more powerful and insightful.
The crew gathering for this year's cohort is already rich in experiences and a wide range of backgrounds. AND, every one who registers has life-time access to all future cohorts! This is a course that you can come back to and grow with each and every year ✨

If you are registered to take your 300-hr YTT through Above Average Wellness then you can apply these 25 hours towards the full program.

The entire course is online and accessible from anywhere in the world. This international cohort will welcome you too!

Payment plans are available.

So many events coming up so I will be posting all events today.
Sorry, not sorry!

One of the biggest misconceptions about nervous system regulation is that it’s supposed to make difficult experiences disappear.

That’s not the goal.

Your nervous system is constantly collecting information and using it to predict what might happen next. Some experiences leave a deeper imprint than others. They can become highly influential, not because you’re broken, but because your nervous system is doing exactly what it was designed to do… Learn from experience.

What changes through regulation isn’t your past.
It’s the amount of information your nervous system has available to work.

Every meaningful conversation. Every supportive movement practice. Every moment of curiosity instead of judgment. Every experience of safety.

They don’t erase what happened.
They add context.

When your nervous system has more context, one difficult experience no longer has to shape every prediction or every response.

That’s why I created nervous system integration. Not to teach another list of regulation techniques.
But to help you understand why you’re nervous system response the way it does… Because when you understand the WHY, the practices begin to make sense.

Understanding won’t erase your story.
It changes the way your nervous system carries it.

this is exactly the kind of neuroscience we explore inside Nervous System Integration. Not what to do, but why it works.

I've realized something while preparing for this next Nervous System Integration cohort.
This isn't a course for people looking to collect another certification or learn the latest wellness trend.

It's for people who are deeply curious.
The people who can't stop asking "why".

Why do yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, nature, and human connection all seem to support the nervous system in different ways?

Why can two people experience the same event and carry it so differently?

Those questions matter to me. In fact, they've shaped my entire career.
Whether I was working in forensic medicine or teaching anatomy to yoga teachers, I've never been satisfied with simply knowing what to do. I've always wanted to understand what was happening beneath the surface.

That's why I keep referring to Nervous System Integration as "the course that explains all the other courses".

Not because it replaces them.
Because it provides the framework that helps them make sense.

The people already registered are exactly the kind of people I hoped would find this course. They're thoughtful, inquisitive, experienced, and generous with their questions. I already know our conversations are going to challenge all of us... in the best possible way.

There's room for only a few more people.

If you've been following along thinking, "This is the conversation I've been looking for," then I'd love to have you with us.
