We did not have a large crowd out yesterday for the orientation/training run and a lot of cinnamon buns were left over. We are planning three more runs for the July 18, August 22 and September 12.
Meet at our place, 26323 TWP RD 511 Spruce Grove T7Y 1E2, which is nowhere near Spruce Grove, but 1km west of Hwy 60 on the south side of Graminia Rd which is just north of Devon. Please plan to arrive early enough so we can leave by 9AM. Refreshments provided after the run, maybe fresh cinnamon buns again
Runners who have not attended one of our training runs before must sign a waiver to attend. Email me at [email protected] for one.
PRICE INCREASE occurs after 11:59 tonight. Register to run and volunteer at www.riversedgerunningseries.ca
We would like to see the volunteer roster begin to fill up We are also planning something new this year by offering a combined volunteer orientation and trail clearing weekend on the 29/30 August. More details to follow but for sure there will be food.

There is a price increase coming up on July 5 to enter REU. We are happy to receive the extra money from those that do not sign up before I do feel obliged to remind runners about the deadline.

The weather was not as bad as was forecast so we could have had a pleasant run this morning. The trails are in good shape so it would be a pity to not run on them before they grow in. So next Saturday July 4 we will try again, only this time we will not be so quick to cancel and let runners decide if they want to run. So cinnamon buns will be baked next Saturday

Sadly, we have decide to cancel tomorrow's run because of the miserable forecast. The next one planned is for July 18 but an earlier one is a possibility once we figure out when.

Regretfully we have decided to cancel the training run on the REU trails scheduled for tomorrow. Weather forecasts are generally accurate 24 hrs ahead and tomorrow will be a miserable day for a run. The next opportunity to run the trails is July 18 but an earlier one is a possibility.

The first opportunity to check out some of the REU trails is next Saturday June 27 by which time the Homestead Loop will be cleared of long grass and fallen trees, but probably not mosquito free.
