2nd class of our very full summer pass class! Today's class was focusing on Basic stance and core engagement.
Stance is important to archery as it sets your foundation for everything that comes next! It is also step 1 in the Can-bow program🙃. A strong core locks your trunk down so you dont arch your back and provides stability. Shooting an arrow is easy, being consistent, that's hard!

The class finished off today with a game of shrinking target! The game starts with a BIG target and reduce the size each round! If an archer misses the target, it goes to the dungeon and the archer has one less (or 2 or 3 less arrows) to shoot the next round

Our teams facing off were "team 7", "Divias" and "Ping wings".

Ping wings claimed victory with 2 arrows hitting the paper once coaches Amanda and Nathan took the astray arrows (those that missed the paper entirely) away and locked them in the dungeon.
