What a great weekend of bowls at Highlands! We were pleased to welcome novice bowlers from across the area to compete in the Northern Novice Pairs Tournament.

This weekend HLBC is hosting the Northern Alberta Novice Pairs tournament. Stop by and cheer on these bowlers from around the city as they take on the greens for some friendly competition!

Members from Highlands Lawn Bowling Club and Royal Lawn Bowling Club came together for a fun-filled Canada Day tournament, and what a great day it was!

Dressed in our best red and white, we enjoyed friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and great fellowship on the greens.

Mother Nature was kind to us too—the rain stayed away, the weather was beautiful, and everyone had a fantastic time.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success.

Days like these remind us that lawn bowling is about more than the game—it’s about friendship, community, and creating lasting memories.

The Australian Pairs Tournament is a fun lawn bowling event where teams of two work together, combining strategy, teamwork, and shot-making skills throughout the day.

It’s always a favourite event on our club calendar and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great bowls and even better company.
