Big things are happening at the Edmonton Ski Club! ⛷️🏔️
A development permit has officially been submitted to replace the current rental shop with a brand new permanent modular facility designed to better serve our community and future growth.
The proposed new space would include:
✨ A modern rental shop
✨ Multipurpose room
✨ Washrooms
✨ Operations room
✨ Secure storage
✨ Rooftop patio overlooking the hill
The application also includes two 40-foot storage containers to help support equipment and operational storage needs.
We’re excited about what this could mean for the future of the hill and creating an even better experience for our members, guests, and community year-round.
Stay tuned for updates! 🙌

Back in July 2025, Edmonton Ski Club undertook a site improvement project, designed to ensure the safety and security of all major equipment owned by the Club. That process began with circulation of a Community Engagement notice to Cloverdale residents and culminated with the successful introduction of the two SeCan units to the site in October 2025.
Now that the 2026-2026 winter season has wrapped up, we are very pleased to report that the SeCan units have performed exactly as we had hoped. That valuable and necessary equipment that had been vandalized twice previously is now safely stored away. We also saw far less petty crime on and around the resort with the SeCan units having no appreciable negative impact on general aesthetics of the resort space within our community.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that provided feedback and comments throughout the process as well as City of Edmonton officials that supported this very worthwhile endeavour to keep Edmonton Ski Club equipment safe and secure.

Today marks an exciting milestone for the Edmonton Ski Club as the concrete flooring for our new lodge is officially being poured.
Fun fact: approximately 20 trucks of concrete will be required to complete this phase of the project. It is incredible to see the progress being made as the vision for our new lodge continues to come to life.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to and supported this project so far. Your generosity and support are helping shape the future of the Edmonton Ski Club community for generations to come.

Big changes on the hill this week 👀
It was a pretty cool day down at Edmonton Ski Club. We had a massive crane on site carefully removing the old lodge, piece by piece, to make space for what’s coming next. Watching it all come down was a little surreal; so many memories in that building; but it also marks the start of something really exciting.
This is a huge step forward for the club. With construction underway, we’re setting the stage for a brand new space that will completely transform the experience on the hill.
We couldn’t be more excited as we look ahead to the 2026/2027 season.
Things are going to be looking a lot different around here… and trust us, it’s going to be worth it. ⛷️✨

What an incredible 2025/2026 season at Edmonton Ski Club ⛷️❄️
So many familiar faces on the hill and so many new ones who made this season extra special. There’s nothing better than the energy of a community that shares the same love for the slopes 🤍
Huge shoutout to our amazing team who keep everything running smoothly day in and day out; we couldn’t do it without you!
Already counting down the days until next season… and something tells us it might just be the best one yet 👀✨

Well, today was a day that we all knew was coming but it definitely snuck up on us. Six days ago, we were operating like it was just another Saturday at the tail end of a wonderful 2025-2026 winter season.
Today, we were all staring at a big emptiness with both reflection and fond memories. Many of us have spent the last four winter seasons working hard to make this temporary Lodge a special place for our staff and especially for our guests. From my perspective, I’d say mission accomplished.
Now, we are setting our sights on the future as we focus on Bike programs and Summer Camps season 2026, but even moreso looking to that special day when we can welcome everyone to our brand new River Valley Outdoor Activity Centre (RVOAC).
Scheduled to open late 2026, this new facility will provide our guests numerous opportunities to experience our Edmonton river valley in a whole new way and year-round too. It’s going to be a very special venue for all of us!
On a personal note, I know that this Lodge clean-out was a huge job. The ESC team took it on with eagerness and amazing energy. In no particular order, I’d like to thank Ameera, Holland, Jennifer, Nolan, Oliver, Artem, Ken, Darcy, Rylan, Finn, Mike, and Lena. Who knows if we will find everything we packed up the past four days and organized into two seacans, but I can’t think of a better group of people I’d rather do this engaging work with
We wish everyone terrific spring, summer and fall seasons. We will see everyone again very soon as we all gather and celebrate the grand opening of the new Edmonton Ski Club RVOAC!!
Sincerely
Greg
