The Team Alberta Training Centre is officially underway! 🔥

Our 17U Women’s and Men’s teams are already training together, while our 15U and 16U athletes are in Edmonton this week for training and selection. It’s been an exciting week of learning, competition, and development.

The Training Centre goes beyond what happens on the court. Athletes are also working with an outstanding group of sport science professionals in strength and conditioning, mental performance, nutrition, and exercise physiology, while learning from mentor coaches representing some of Alberta’s top university volleyball programs.

A huge thank you to everyone helping create an environment where Alberta athletes can continue to grow, compete, and prepare for the next level. 👏

Behind the scenes at our Advanced Development Coach Workshop!

In late June, coaches from across Alberta gathered in Edmonton for the in-person component of the NCCP Advanced Development Coach Workshop.

Designed for coaches working with athletes in the Learn to Compete LTD stage. The course builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the Development Coach context and incorporates advanced training methods. The workshop combines virtual classroom learning, on-court application, and collaboration with experienced coaches to help build the knowledge and confidence to support athletes at the next level.

Thank you to everyone who took part and continues to invest in growing the game across Alberta.
