For 75 years, ARPA has brought together leaders, innovators, and changemakers dedicated to recreation and parks across Alberta.

This year at the ARPA Conference and Energize Workshop 2026, we're proud to celebrate that legacy through our conference theme, Legacy in Action: Celebrating 75 Years.

As we reflect on the people, partnerships, and achievements that have shaped our sector, we also look ahead to the opportunities and ideas that will define the future.

Join us October 22–24 in Jasper as we honour our past, celebrate our present, and continue building a stronger future together. This is a conference you won't want to miss being a part of. 💚 🎉

‼️ Important Update

As many of you know, the Communities ChooseWell program is funded in whole through a grant from Alberta Primary and Preventative Health Services. As we have yet to receive confirmation of future funding, we have had to make the difficult decision to pause operations.

While this pause creates uncertainty, it does not diminish the importance of the work we have accomplished together or the strength of the community that has formed around healthy eating and active living. We remain proud of the positive impact Communities ChooseWell has had across the province and grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Although program operations will be paused July 1st, our website will continue to provide free resources, tools, and information to support you and your community. We encourage you to continue exploring and sharing these resources with others who may benefit.

To everyone who has participated in, partnered with, supported, and championed Communities ChooseWell - THANK YOU. Your commitment to creating healthier communities has inspired us every day, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support and understanding.

We remain hopeful for the future and will share updates as more information becomes available. 💚
