Based in NE Edmonton, the Pirates are the oldest club in the ERU. We offer competitive and fun rugby teams and programs for all ages and experiences.
The Edmonton Rugby Football Club (The Pirates) is the oldest club in the ERU, having been established in 1953. We offer rugby programs for men, women, and youth and are always looking for new players, with or without rugby experience. We offer a fun, social environment for players and supporters, so come on out to a game and see what rugby with the Pirates is all about!

The wait is over. 🏉
After 11 years, our Senior Women are officially ERU City Champions, and now they’re coming for the next one. 🏆
Tomorrow, they head to provincial playoffs against the Saracens, with kickoff at 2 PM at LA Crude Sport Club.
They’ve already brought the city championship hardware home. Now it’s time to bring home the provincial win.
Come out, get loud, and cheer these women on! ☠️💪

Today’s Senior Women’s match against the Rockers has been postponed.
Turns out the City of Edmonton wasn’t quite as enthusiastic about 30 people turning a muddy field into an even muddier field, and has closed fields due to conditions.
