The pots are in the kiln for their bisque fire.

During a bisque fire I increase the temperature very slowly.
This ensures that any moisture still in the clay has time to escape.

If not, the moisture boils/expands quickly and the pots explode! .😬

Let's not do that, ok.

So they will slowly warm at level one for 4 hrs, with the lid propped open and the vents open.

This will take 10-12hrs to complete. Then it takes another 10 -12 hrs to cool down.

The pots are drying slowly but surely!

It looks like they are headed into the kiln on Monday for a bisque fire
