Peru has opened my eyes 🇵🇪

Pulling up to the fields amongst the slums of Peru, and knowing these players are running down the dirt road from their homes made of scrap wood and brick/concrete structures, down the hill to training was incredibly humbling.

These kids in Peru truly have to battle day in, day out, on the field to give themselves the sliver of a chance of getting out of these low income neighborhoods through football.

The boys of Nex-Gen Performance have truly been given the opportunity of a lifetime to gain the perspective of what football is like outside of our safe and ‘different’ environment over in North America.

Additionally, we also got the chance to play some incredible teams, being challenged technically, physically, tactically, and mentally every single game. Battling against a third division pro side, a Universitario academy side, and two other first division academies - safe to say, we haven’t lacked matches and competition.

Looking forward to our final few days here, with a few games still to go. Another opportunity to learn, improve, and enjoy the beautiful game ⚽️🇵🇪❤️

Players will train:

For those that don’t know me, my name is Francesco Saporito, owner & head coach at SAP Training Systems⚽️

💭 I started SAP with one goal in mind:

Create an environment where players can truly develop — not just as footballers, but as confident, disciplined, and brave individuals on and off the field.

My background includes:

📈 10+ years coaching football and athletes at various levels
🇦🇹 Playing full time & semi pro football in Austria
🇺🇸 NCAA Division 1 Full Ride 4 year scholarship
📚 Bachelor degree in Kinesiology + strength & conditioning certifications
🇨🇦 Canadian U15 - U19 National team
🔵 Vancouver Whitecaps Pro Academy
