35 weeks pregnant and definitely feeling it. 😄😅

Not every day calls for an intense workout. Some days, a few gentle mobility exercises, deep breathing, and moving your body in ways that feel good are more than enough.

These are a few of the stretches and movements I’ve been doing daily to help relieve stiffness, stay mobile, and prepare my body for birth.

✅ Save this for those low-energy pregnancy days!

What movement has been your pregnancy lifesaver?

These are four mobility exercises I’ve been including in my third trimester to help maintain hip and pelvic mobility. And honestly, they just feel good for where I am at right now.

While they won’t guarantee an easier labor, they may help you move more comfortably into a variety of labor and birth positions.

Shrink your POOCH and improve your GAP!

This workout is designed for Diastasis Recti, Pelvic Floor health, and that stubborn mommy pooch.

These exercises target the transverse abdominis, pelvic floor muscles, and other stabilizer muscles promoting overall core stability. Strengthening these muscles contributes to better postural alignment and increased abdominal support and stability. This reduces the separation associated with diastasis recti and can create a firmer foundation for the abdominal organs - reducing the appearance of a “mom pooch”.

It’s essential to combine these exercises with an overall healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and regular physical activity, for effective results. ✌️

So you want a flat belly like you probably had before baby? Well, sometimes being in a caloric deficit is only going to help you so much.

We need to strengthen those weak deep inner core muscles and pelvic floor. Some of us need to improve our (diastasis recti) and decrease its width or depth - which can cause the “pooch” appearance.

Diastasis recti occurs when the abdominal muscles separate, creating a gap between the right and left sides of the re**us abdominis muscles. This separation can weaken the abdominal wall, leading to a loss of tension and support. As a result, the internal organs and tissues may push forward, causing the belly to bulge or appear rounded.

While diastasis recti is not the sole factor contributing to a pooch appearance, it can be one of the factors influencing the abdominal aesthetics. Proper exercises and techniques, (like the ones above) can help manage and improve diastasis recti, reducing the pooch effect.

Remember, eating healthy goes hand in hand with getting closer to your goal of a flat tummy. And make sure you have been cleared by your HCP before starting exercise postpartum.
