*AMV GO TOP AS Rusape wonderkid Nathan YASINI'S LATE STRIKE SINKS FOUR LIONS sending the home crowd into jubilation for the second consecutive appearance*

*RUSAPE* — Africa Mineral Ventures FC are now top of the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League after a hard-fought *1-0 victory over Four Lions FC* at Vengere Stadium this afternoon.

The win takes _The Eastern Boys_ to *38 points from 18 games*, moving them clear at the summit with league leaders Yadah FC, GreenFuel FC and Tenax CS FC all inactive due to Munhumutapa Challenge Cup commitments.

It was *Rusape wonderkid Nathan Yasini* who proved to be the hero. The young forward came off the bench in the second half and struck in the *73rd minute* to send the Vengere terraces into wild celebrations. It is the *second time this season* that Yasini has come on to score and lift the home crowd.

In the absence of head coach *St Collins* who was away on other commitments, *assistant coach Solomon Mhoyo* took charge and got his tactics spot on. AMV dominated possession but struggled to break down a stubborn Four Lions defense until Yasini’s moment of magic.

AMV started brightly but found Four Lions, bottom of the table and still searching for a first win, difficult to break down. The Masvingo side defended deep and frustrated the home side for over an hour.

Coach Mhoyo made the decisive change on 65 minutes, bringing on Yasini. Eight minutes later the teenager latched onto a through ball, composed himself, and slotted past the goalkeeper to spark scenes of jubilation.

Four Lions pushed for an equalizer late on but AMV’s defense, which has now conceded just 9 goals all season, held firm to secure all three points.

What It Means:With Yadah, GreenFuel and Tenax all not in action, AMV have seized the opportunity. They now sit *top of the PSERSL log* and have destiny in their own hands.

The club leads the league in goals scored with 30 and has the best goal difference at +21. More importantly, they have shown they can win even when not at their fluent best — a trait of champions.

Speaking after the game, caretaker coach *Solomon Mhoyo* praised his players:
> "We knew it would be tough. Four Lions are hard to beat. But the boys kept going and Nathan came on and changed the game. To go top today is massive for Rusape."

For Four Lions it remains a long season. They stay bottom on 9 points with 0 wins, 9 draws and 9 defeats.

AMV will hope to stay top when the league resumes, but for now Rusape has reason to celebrate. The Eastern Boys are number 1.
