Budd's Baits

Golden oldie. Way back I designed a walking bait that would later become known as the Stutterstep, produced by Bill Lewis Outdoors of Rat-l-trap fame. At the time there were a few variants of which this was one. The addition of the front legs/arms in silicone spinner-bait skirt material gave this particular lure a crazy, crawling action on the straight retrieve - almost like a swimmer doing crawl. It also retained the walk-in-place action almost as well as the originals without arms, as well as the other actions this bait is capable of.

Another old timber project out of storage, foiled and hand etched. Ready for clear and paint before epoxy.

I found about forty of my original timber SlikFin 100's and 125's lying around so it's back to the hand-etching detail on foil. I must confess the eyes take a beating doing this but it is quite satisfying seeing the end result. Will post more pics once I complete these.

Another oldie. Still remains unfished in my gear but I have no doubt this little guy will get inhaled one day.

Tilapia blank dressed up in Peacock Bass regalia for a client heading out to South America. A couple of clear coats to go still but looking rather outlandish! Reference pic in comments.
