Ten years ago today, under the guidance of coach Shadreck Mlauzi, the Zimbabwe Women's National Football Team stepped onto the pitch at the Arena Corinthians 🏟️.

They became the first football team—men or women—to represent Zimbabwe at the Olympic Games.

Trailing 2–0 against global powerhouse Germany, the Mighty Warriors launched a fierce counter-attack. Rutendo Makore unleashed a powerful, stinging shot.

The German goalkeeper, Almuth Schult, could only parry the ball away.

Kudakwashe Basopo reacted with lightning speed, picking up the rebound and smashing it into the back of the net.

A talented freestyle swimmer, Connor has already made his mark with standout performances at the South African Junior Nationals and the Africa Aquatics Zone IV Championships, where he recorded multiple top-eight finishes and placed fourth overall. He was also selected for Zimbabwe's first-ever Open Water Swimming Team at the World Aquatics Championships.
