Tucked deep within the untamed beauty of the South African bushveld, Groenland Game Farm offers more than a bowhunting safari — it offers a return to something authentic. For ten unforgettable days, a small group of dedicated bowhunters will experience Africa the way it was meant to be experienced: quietly, ethically, and on your own terms.
This family-run game farm is built around a simple philosophy — when you arrive, you are no longer a guest, but part of the family. Unlike commercial hunting operations, Groenland understands the deeply personal nature of bowhunting. Here, there are no constant check-ins, no pressure, and no professional hunter shadowing your every move. Whether you choose to settle into one of the many carefully positioned tree blinds and ground blinds or disappear into the veld on a walk-and-stalk adventure, the experience is entirely yours.
The farm welcomes experienced, ethical bowhunters who value fair chase, self-reliance, and the quiet discipline of the hunt. Hunters are trusted to arrive prepared, broadheads sighted in, and ready to immerse themselves fully in the African wilderness.
But the experience extends far beyond the hunt itself.
The warmth of traditional Afrikaans Boer hospitality is woven into every moment at Groenland. Mornings begin with strong coffee beside crackling fires as the African sunrise spills across the veld. Evenings unfold around long farmhouse tables heavy with exceptional South African cuisine — where stories are shared late into the night and every meal becomes part of the adventure.
The cuisine reflects generations of Boer tradition and a profound connection to the land itself. Slow-cooked impala potjie, rich kudu stew, gemsbok pie, and handcrafted biltong are prepared with recipes passed down through families, infused with the flavors of coriander, juniper, cloves, red wine, and smoke from open-fire cooking. Fresh roosterkoek baked over coals, creamy pap, homemade chutneys, and preserves complete meals that feel both rustic and unforgettable.
This exclusive safari is being organized for a small group of just 3–4 bowhunters traveling to Johannesburg in late July or early August 2026.

For bowhunters seeking more than a hunt — those searching for solitude, authenticity, camaraderie, and the timeless spirit of Africa — Groenland promises an experience that will stay with you long after the last arrow is released.

The sun went down hard and red behind the trees. The sky burned above the dark land in long streaks of orange and blood color, and the clouds held the light a little while before giving it up. This is the Mokore way.
