NKWAZI SPLIT RESULTS WITH ATHLETICO LUSAKA IN TWO GAME FRIENDLY

Nkwazi FC continued their preparations ahead of the 2026 Transition League with a two game friendly outing against Athletico Lusaka at the Barcelona Academy.

The two sides faced off in back to back matches, giving both teams an opportunity to assess their squads and test different combinations.

In the first encounter, which kicked off at 09:00 hours, Nkwazi produced a strong performance to secure a convincing 3-1 victory over Athletico Lusaka with goals coming from Erick Chomba, Emmason and Emmanuel. The result reflected Nkwazi’s attacking intent and ability to capitalize on their opportunities.

However, the second encounter proved to be a different challenge. Athletico Lusaka responded strongly, beating Nkwazi 6-2 in a high scoring contest.

Despite the contrasting results, the two matches provided valuable playing time for the Nkwazi squad as the team continues to build fitness, assessing new players also give all players an opportunity to compete for places ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The coaching staff will now look to assess the lessons from both encounters as preparations for the 2026 Transition League continue.
