Team Muchinga has arrived safely in Lusaka ahead of the 2026 Zanaco Grassroots School football Tournament, which kicks off this Friday. The team is now settling in as they prepare for the competition.

Sporting Doves defender Salome Nalwimba continues to make Mpika and Muchinga Province proud after earning a place in the Zambia Under-17 Women's National Team.

Salome is part of the squad preparing to face Ethiopia this Saturday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the first leg of the final qualifying round for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2026.

Under the guidance of Coach Carol Kanyemba, Zambia has already eliminated DR Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda on their journey to the final round. Salome has been in camp in Ndola for over two weeks as the team intensifies preparations.

𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐔𝐌

Muchinga Province has entrusted two experienced coaches to lead the Under-17 Boys team at the 2026 Zanaco Grassroots School Football Tournament in Lusaka.

Leading the technical bench is Coach Nkhoma Cletus, Head Coach of Isoka Elite Sports Academy, alongside Coach Aaron Bwalya, who serves as a coach at Isubilo.

The duo will guide the Muchinga U17 Boys as they compete against other Provinces best young talent at the prestigiousv tournament, which will be held at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka from 3 -6 July 2026.

The Muchinga Province U17 Boys team is fired up and ready for the Zanaco Grassroots Tournament.

The young lads had a team talk session with their two coaches, Coach Aaron and Coach Nkhoma, ahead of the competition. The coaches urged the boys to stay disciplined, work as one team, and play with confidence.

Muchinga will be hoping their U17s make the province proud as they take on other regions in the grassroots showcase.
