An Appreciation Message to the Nkana FC EXCO
From Leo Kalampa
To the Executive Committee of Nkana Football Club,
On behalf of myself and every faithful supporter who bleeds red and white, I want to extend my deepest appreciation for the work you have done to keep our great club alive and moving forward.
We all know how difficult last season was. We fought relegation to the very end, and it was only through your decisive actions, sacrifices, and steady leadership that Nkana survived. That alone deserves recognition.
Beyond that, you guided the club through one of its toughest periods, the FIFA ban that stopped us from registering any player for the entire 2025/2026 season. That would have broken weaker leadership. Instead, under President Eng. Justin Bwalya and CEO Mwansa Kapyanga, you made the hard calls, kept the club running, and laid the groundwork to get Nkana back on its feet.
It is important that every true supporter of this greatest club stands behind the EXCO and supports the decisions you make, because they are made in the best interest of Nkana. Our role as supporters is to rally behind the leadership, even when the road is tough.
I also urge all well meaning supporters to give the technical bench and the coach our full support. The club has taken a different route now, a rebuild process with young players at the center. This is the foundation for the future. What we need as supporters is patience, and the willingness to watch this team grow and transform over time.
Thank you, EXCO, for your hard work, resilience, and love for Nkana. The club is in better hands because of you.
Once and Always Kalampa

FAZ Must Apply One Rulebook for All Clubs.
By Leo kalampa
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) must prove that discipline in Zambian football is not selective. Right now, the silence is too loud.
About a year ago, Nkana Football Club was sanctioned swiftly after the incident at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. The Disciplinary Committee moved with speed and delivered a verdict. The message was clear: misconduct has consequences.
Contrast that with what we all witnessed during the Power Dynamos versus Red Arrows fixture. Fans were seen attacking each other in violent, bloody scenes that embarrassed our game. That was months ago. To date, there has been no public action, no verdict, and no clear communication from FAZ on the matter.
If the club in question was Nkana, precedent tells us the Disciplinary Committee would have acted fast, and the punishment would have been severe. This inconsistency is dangerous.
Why timing matters
Justice delayed risks being seen as justice denied. Worse, a late verdict could land at the worst possible time — when Power Dynamos or Red Arrows are fighting for the league title. A points deduction or ban at that stage would throw the competition into chaos and spark accusations of interference.
The real issue: trust
The Disciplinary Committee cannot be seen to weigh who has connections at Football House before deciding how fast or how hard to act. Supporters, players, and sponsors lose faith when rules look flexible depending on the badge.
What FAZ should do now
1. Expedite the process: Conclude the Power vs Arrows matter and communicate the outcome publicly.
2. Set the standard: Confirm that timelines and sanctions applied to Nkana will be the benchmark for all clubs.
3. Show transparency: Publish disciplinary steps and expected timeframes so no one claims ignorance or bias.
Zambian football is growing. Broadcast deals, sponsorships, and CAF slots depend on our league’s credibility. That credibility comes from one thing: fair, consistent enforcement of the rules.
FAZ, the ball is in your court. Treat all 18 clubs the same. Because the game deserves better, and the fans are watching.

No to Hooliganism
By; Leo kalampa
I strongly condemn the violent incident that happened at nkoloma stadium after the final whistle, at today's rescheduled match between Red Arrows and Power Dynamos. The disturbing images of injured fans are a stark reminder that hooliganism has no place in our beautiful game. I call on all fans to respect the spirit of sportsmanship and peaceful enjoyment of the beautiful game.
The images depict severe injuries, highlighting the unacceptable nature of such behavior. It's disappointing that a self proclaimed prominent blogger bwezani mbewe, to me he's a well known Red Arrows supporter, hasn't publicly addressed this incident unless if it was nkana mmm even chewa proverbs could have been long.
If this incident involved Nkana fans, we'd likely be seeing swift action from the authorities by now. I urge the Football Association of Zambia's disciplinary committee to treat this incident with similar urgency, investigate thoroughly, and impose sanctions on those responsible, regardless of teams affiliations. To all my fellow supporters please let's work together to ensure our stadiums remain safe and enjoyable for all.
