The Zambian Premier League has released the 2026 fixtures for Transition Season, with our first game against ZESCO United on the 3rd October, 2026 to be played at Railway Stadium.

The Transition Season will also see the launch of the Zambia Football Association Challenge Cup (ZFA Cup) , a national knockout competition featuring ZPL clubs and qualifying FAZ provincial teams.

The competition will provide a broader national platform for clubs and serve as a stepping stone towards a fully expanded national competition from the following season.

Mr. Mwenge emphasized the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness of STIs, highlighting how responsible choices safeguard not only individual health but also team cohesion and long‑term performance. He also addressed sensitive but critical topics such as Gender Based Violence, sexual assault, and physical assault, encouraging players to be advocates of respect, dignity, and safety both on and off the pitch.

Another key area of discussion was the dangers of energy drinks. Mr. Mwenge explained how consumption of energy drinks can lead to reduced recovery efficiency — all of which undermine athletic performance. He urged players to prioritize natural hydration, balanced nutrition, and rest as the true foundations of sporting excellence.

Consultant Mr. Chikusi Banda guided the team on prudent money management, stressing the importance of budgeting, saving, and avoiding reckless spending.
