Port Owen Yacht Club Opening Cruise 2026

The 2026 Port Owen Yacht Club Opening Cruise was a grand success!

After an uncertain morning spent watching the weather, the West Coast sunshine saved the day.

Following the flag hoisting ceremony and the Blessing of the Fleet, a fleet of boats took to the water for a picturesque sail past Commodore Hampton at Rooibaai.

Members celebrated later that evening with a lively dinner in a clubhouse adorned with Flags, Fynbos, and Flowers. Both President Latter and Commodore Hampton welcomed the guests and commended the organizers, sailors, and members for bringing the community together for such a memorable occasion.
