The Eastern Cape Boxing Organization through its Women Commission is hosting a women empowerment seminar.

The theme of the seminar is :

“Empowering Women in Boxing through Leadership, Safeguarding, Integrity and Equality.”

ECABO is well invested in women development and gender equality for the benefit of Boxing Development in the province.

They were once a one district, but ended up being two district with a big impact towards of Boxing development.

This coming weekend, Buffalo City Metro and Amathole District are having their District Trails,hopefully boxers are ready......

We proudly congratulate Nelson Mandela Metro athletes on their outstanding performances at the 3rd UB Open Boxing Championship, held 17-19 July at the UB Indoor Sports Centre, Botswana.

The boxers produced exceptional results:
• Hlobanisa Hobongwana – Gold Medal
• Asemahle David – Silver Medal, Best bout Award winner

We applaud both athletes on the results and wish them continued success.

Team South Africa Boxing Arrived in Glasgow Ready to Compete! 🥊🇿🇦🫡

Team South Africa's boxing squad has officially arrived in Glasgow ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. During the official technical meeting and team entries confirmation, all four South African boxers were declared fit, eligible, and cleared to compete in their respective weight divisions.

This marks the beginning of an exciting campaign as our athletes prepare to represent the nation on one of the biggest stages in international sport. We remain hopeful that Glasgow 2026 will introduce South Africa to new heroes and heroines who will inspire the next generation through their courage, determination, and excellence.

On behalf of the South African National Boxing Organisation (SANABO), we call on all South Africans to rally behind our team. Your support and encouragement will motivate our boxers as they proudly wear the green and gold.
