A bittersweet farewell to our Coach Jade 💙

After many special years as part of the Stellenbosch Aquatics family, Jade has been offered an exciting new opportunity to step into the role of Head Coach at Somerset College.

While we are incredibly sad to see her go, we could not be prouder of her. It has been a privilege to watch Jade grow throughout her coaching journey and to see the joy, care and commitment she has poured into our swimmers over the years. Her impact on our club and our swimming family will be felt for a long time to come.

Jade, thank you for everything you have given to Stellenbosch Aquatics. We pray that God continues to bless the work of your hands, guide you and Tijan wherever this next season takes you, and use you to shine His light and make a lasting difference in the lives of those around you.

We will miss having you poolside, but we are so excited to see what lies ahead for you.

Meet Coach Righardt Müller.

Righardt joins Stellenbosch Aquatics this term, bringing with him international swimming experience, discipline, and a real passion for helping swimmers chase their own goals in the water.

He has represented South Africa at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, as well as the 2024 Salnikov Cup in St Petersburg, Russia. He is currently training towards the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles while studying towards his BCom in Business Administration.

A few fun facts: he loves a good sunset, good pastries, hiking, surfing when he gets the chance — and fair warning, he says he makes some pretty bad dad jokes.
