Making a Medicine Bottle 05/03/2026

🌿💚 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚:

Want to know what I am busy prepping in our kitchen this week?

One of my favourite things to do with off-cuts of herbs, left-over spices, and bits of medicinal veggies, is to create a Medicine Bottle!

I have written a little blog post on how I make a Medicine Bottle for the kitchen. This is a simple way to get your herbal fingers warmed up... and quite fun to put together 💚🌿

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 & 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: (𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀):

Here is a nice little almanac outline for the month of March... for those who enjoy living by the natural cycles of "die muunraad" (moon wheel). I have put this together for those interest in health, healing, magic, and astrology.

I personally enjoy living gently alongside lunar and solar cycles. Here you can see the moon phases, signs, and bodily organs influence by each sign. I have allocated some suggested remedies and practices to use over the month, including yoga, herbalism, braucherei and other healing practices.

Surgery is also best done under certain moon phases, but for the timing of serious surgery, please rather message me privately for best dates (or consult your personal electional astrologer).

Feel free to share. Ps. This timing is calculated for Cape Town, but will be the same around South Africa. For other time-zones, simply adjust from SAST to your local time.

Enjoy.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘅 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻-𝗯𝘆-𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Join us on 18 March for a gentle, heart-opening evening of sacred sound as we gather in candlelight to honour the New Moon and the turning of the Autumn Equinox.

This is a moment of gratitude — a time to pause, reflect, and harvest the quiet rewards of the intentions we planted in the spring. Through harmonium-led mantra chanting, devotional song, and immersive sound bathing, we create a warm, nourishing space to soften, receive, and reconnect.

No singing experience is needed. Come as you are.
Bring a yoga mat (we have spares), a cushion for comfort, and if you feel called, an instrument you love — rattles, bells, bowls, chimes, or gentle percussion are all welcome.

Together we will chant, breathe, listen, and rest in the glow of community and sacred sound.

🌙 Date: 18 March 2026, 19:15-20:30 (after yoga)
🕯 Theme: Gratitude • Harvest • Inner Light
📍 Afrishanti School of Yoga (Ina Ge**er Studio, Pastorie Park)
💎 R180 (payable by EFT before the event)
🎶 All voices welcome

Spaces are limited — message to reserve your place.

Come sit in the circle. Let the music hold you.
