MWM is turning 9, and we are celebrating with a very special morning of movement, community and a few extra treats at the studio.
👉 Here’s what you need to know:
✨ 10 July
✨ First class: 7:00am - 7:45am
✨ Second class: 8:00am - 8:45am
✨ 25 people per class
👉 How to book:
Bookings open on Monday, 29 June at 9:00am via the Fit app.
👉What to expect:
A live DJ, great coffee, goody bags, and the perfect opportunity to connect, mingle, and enjoy the morning together!

👉 Why we need to keep moving our spine:
Most of us spend too much time sitting or holding the same posture for long periods. Over time, that can leave the spine feeling stiff and the upper body feeling locked. If you are not moving your spine regularly, the same areas end up carrying too much of the load.
👉 What happens when your spine moves well:
A mobile spine supports deep core engagement, better posture, side body mobility and a more fluid, responsive way of moving. You may also notice easier breathing, less upper body stiffness, better rotation in daily life, and a stronger connection through your whole practice.
👉 Why this matters so much:
This is not just about exercise. It is about how you move through everyday life - how you twist, reach, sit, stand, breathe and carry yourself. When your spine moves well, your body usually feels more supported in everything else too.

Mat Pilates or Reformer Pilates? Let’s unpack it... 👇
Pilates was designed as a full-body method that can be practised on the mat or on spring-assisted apparatus, with the whole body working together rather than in isolation.
In Mat Pilates, you are working with your own body weight, which means your core, control, alignment and body awareness have to do the heavy lifting.
It may look simple on paper, but it is never “easy” when it is done properly.
The Reformer adds another layer.
Joseph Pilates developed apparatus to support and challenge the body, and the springs create resistance that can assist, refine or intensify a movement depending on how it is used.
That is exactly why it can feel supportive and demanding at the same time.
Mat and Reformer are not competing with each other - they work together.
Mat builds the foundation, while the Reformer gives you feedback, variation and progression, so you can develop strength and control from different angles.
So, which should you do?
Ideally, both.
Your body does not need to pick sides - it needs the right work.🤍
