Discovery Bowling Club Community Centre

47th Discovery novices tournament had a field of 22 Ladies and 35 Men. A round robin was played over the first three Saturday mornings and then the knockout playoffs. A very high standard of bowls was displayed and the winners had to fight hard for their trophies. Well done to Connie Mathews Randburg 1st

On the 30th April, DBC held a "Gentlemen's Day", and what a day it was! Most of the bowlers claimed not to be gentlemen, but each and every one of you were perfect gentlemen. You all got on and played in the thick fog and cold without complaining. We have already been asked by numerous gents, if we will do it again next year. Absolutely!!!! A very big thank you to all the ladies for their help. To the ladies in the kitchen, the food was great. Di Loxton, and most of all to Di Anderson for running the bowls and all your help.
