THERE’S SOMETHING UNFORGETTABLE about a Dubai sunrise training session — the stillness of the desert air before the city wakes, the warmth of the first rays cutting across the skyline, and that quiet sense of discipline that comes from putting in the work while much of the world is still asleep.
I’ve been blessed to create and share experiences like these across different countries — bringing people together through karate, exercise, nutrition, human performance and holistic wellness like we did recently in Poland.
Different places. Different people.
But always the same belief: movement connects us, discipline develops us, and shared experiences have the power to leave a lasting impact.
And now, the journey continues.
This November, we take that spirit to Turkey beginning in Soshanguve as Team IBU South Africa heads to the European Championships.
Another country. Another challenge. Another opportunity to learn, contribute, compete, connect and represent — while continuing to build something bigger than any single event or destination.
From sunrise sessions in Dubai to the competition floor in Turkey — keep moving, keep growing, keep creating experiences that matter.
I hold an International Diploma in Sports Management, supported by years of industry experience and studies in Sports Sociology, Sports Psychology, Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, Coaching and Training, and Sports Medicine and Injury Management.

THE SOUL OF KYODOKYOKUSHIN
Body of an athlete.
Mind of a Stoic.
Spirit of a warrior.
Heart of a poet.
That is the goal.
Kyodokyokushin is more than developing fighters. It is about developing complete human beings.
We strengthen the body to endure.
Discipline the mind to remain calm under pressure.
Forge the warrior spirit to act with courage, humility and purpose.
And preserve the heart — to feel deeply, show compassion and remain human.
Strength without character is incomplete.
Discipline without humanity is empty.
The ultimate victory is not becoming a better fighter.
It is becoming a better human being.

THE PRESENCE OF FEMALE ATHLETES in full-contact karate continues to grown exponentialy and the gap between men and women in terms of interest in Kyokushin Karate has narrowed significantly over the last few years.
As part of the international sports ecosystem IBU Kyodokyokushin pledges to continue taking important steps in the advancement of gender equality.
Thus, in order to encourage especially the participation of girls and young women, our member countries are taking actions such as:
• Developing their grassroots sport for young people and girls.
• Implementing gender equality strategies.
• Creating protection policies.
• Increasing women's participation in leadership and at all levels of the sport.
• Increasing the allocation of resources for women's sport.
• Providing better and more media coverage and marketing free of gender bias.
• Promoting women's achievements.
WE ARE KYODOKYOKUSHIN!
