🇯🇵🤝🇿🇦 Last Thursday, BAdmin@Tuks hosted “Working Towards the Future of Japan - South Africa” in partnership with the Embassy of Japan at the SPMA Leadership Centre.

We were privileged to welcome 🎙️ Mr Takamitsu Hida (Diplomat, Embassy of Japan) and Mr Ryan Keet (Cultural Assistant, Embassy of Japan) for a discussion covering:

🌍 Japan’s diplomatic priorities
🤝 The trajectory of Japan-South Africa bilateral relations
🎓 The MEXT Scholarship Programme
✈️ The JET Programme

Events like this reflect what BAdmin@Tuks aims to offer our members ,direct access to diplomats, 🌐 exposure to international career pathways, and a platform to think critically about South Africa’s place in global affairs.

🙏 Thank you to the Embassy of Japan for their partnership, and to everyone who attended and engaged so thoughtfully.

🇿🇦 Mandela Day 2026 🇿🇦
“It is in your hands to make a better world for all who live in it.” — that’s the challenge Madiba left us, and today BAdmin answered the call.
From outreach, donations, cleanups, mentoring students gave their 67 minutes and more to communities that need it most. Public administration isn’t just what we study — it’s what we live.
Grateful to everyone who showed up, gave their time, and reminded us that small acts of service ripple outward.
