Can Romke de Jongh Defend His Gravel Rush 100 miler Crown?

When the Gravel Rush rolls into Gaggle Inn on 12 September, all eyes will be on defending champion Romke de Jong.

After a dominant performance at the Lion and Tiger Edition, De Jong returns with one goal in mind – defending the title against what is expected to be the strongest Gravel Rush field yet. Known for his endurance, tactical racing, and ability to thrive on tough gravel terrain, Romke proved in 2026 that he has what it takes to conquer the demanding routes and unpredictable conditions of Gravel Rush.

Defending a title is often harder than winning it the first time. Every rider on the start line will know who they need to beat, and the pressure of wearing the champion's crown brings a different challenge altogether.

Will Romke de Jongh once again stand on the top step of the podium, or will a new challenger rise to claim the Gravel Rush title?
