Ohh, that finish line feeling ❤️‍🔥

Salt lines, dust, and eyes that sting for reasons that have nothing to do with the wind. The smile you can’t hold back, and the tears you don’t bother to. 🥹

Because crossing that line means something. It means you did the thing you weren’t sure you could.

The line is close. One week to go.

Start times are moving later for our 100 milers ⏰

Due to the start line being a slight further drive, we’ve shifted the order of events later to give everyone enough time to get there. 💨

Elites roll out at 7:30am (30 mins later than 2025), the rest of the batches follow behind in 3 minute increments. All start times and batches will be sent closer to race day. ✔️

Your 2026 route has just landed. 😮‍💨🙂‍↕️

We start somewhere brand new: Theewater Sports Club, straight into 50km of uncharted ground. First up is Rusty Gate, a 14.5km gravel pass with 79 twists, climbing to the roof of the Overberg before a descent that’ll give your legs a breather, while the adrenaline carries you into the next 120km. 🥵

From there it’s onto legendary ground, wheat and canola fields, the giant wind turbines before hugging the lagoon to the finish at Benguela Cove. 🏁

153km. 2485m up. 85% gravel. The most beautiful, brutal route we’ve ever built.

Wondering what the gravel to tar split is this year? 👀

Well, we’ve got the answer. this year you’re riding 85% gravel. That’s 130km along farm roads, district roads, jeep track and a couple of cheeky singletrack sections to keep things spicy 🌶️

Only 15% is tar. Around 20km, half of what it was last year 📉 just enough to link one stretch of dirt to the next.

You’ve got 100 days. 🤯

100 days until the gravel crunches beneath your tyres. Until Franschhoek Pass rises up in front of you and the sea pulls you forward. Until you cross that finish line in Hermanus and feel every single kilometre hit you at once. 🥹

The mountains are calling. ⛰️
