What a fantastic day of golf at the GNGU Teams of 2 2026!

Congratulations to all the players who took part and delivered some outstanding performances throughout the competition. Well done to our winners and defending Champions - Mieke Wentzel from Akasia Golf Club and Zanike Wium from Pretoria Country Club, who once again claimed top honours with an impressive total score of 81.

A sincere thank you to Blue Valley Golf & Country Club for hosting the event and for the excellent course conditions, hospitality, and support throughout the day.

We also extend our appreciation to all the players, officials, and supporters who helped make the day memorable. We look forward to welcoming everyone again at future GNGU events.

'In Loving Memory of Henda van Schalkwyk

Dear all,

It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Henda van Schalkwyk.

Henda was a long-standing member and Ladies Captain of Pretoria Golf Club, and a formidable woman both on the golf course and in life.

She played a significant role in the history of women’s golf in Gauteng North. Following successful negotiations to break away from the Transvaal Women’s Golf Union, Henda became the first President of the former Northern Transvaal Women’s Golf Union. Under her strong leadership and guidance, NTvlWGU qualified for the Inter Provincial A Division in their very first year.

Her contribution to golf extended far beyond her achievements on the course. She was a woman of strength, determination and conviction, and she left an enduring mark on those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Henda had resided in Stilbaai for a number of years, and she will be laid to rest there.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

May she now find eternal rest in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, after her sad and courageous fight here on earth.

Rest peacefully, Henda. You will be remembered with great respect and affection.

GNGU Mid-Am Team Selected

It is with great pride that we announce the GNGU Mid – Amateur team that has been tasked to defend our title at the upcoming GolfRSA Mid-Amateur Inter Provincial that will be played at Sanlameer from 5 – 9 October 2026.

GNGU Challenge IPT Team Selected

With great joy we would like to announce the team that will be representing us at the upcoming Challenge Interprovincial to be played at Kambaku Golf Club from 15 to 17 September 2026.
