Coach Bennie

We are incredibly proud that two of our own coaches, Bennie Labuschagne and Heinrich Barnes, have been included on this prestigious list.

This recognition is a testament to their years of dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport of wrestling. Both Bennie and Heinrich have made an invaluable contribution to the development of wrestlers at club, provincial, and national level. They are not only exceptional coaches but also mentors who share their knowledge, experience, and love for the sport with young wrestlers every day.

The 30th of May 2026, will go down as one of the most exciting days in the history of the South African Wrestling Federation.

With a record 591 entries descending on the South African Greco-Roman, Wrestling, Championship being held in the Gauteng North, Wrestling Hall in Pretoria.

For the first time, all age groups from U8-Seniors, will compete under one roof unifying the Greco-Roman style as a stand alone event.

For many of the young wrestlers this will be their first ever Greco-Roman National Championship.

We wish all the Wrestlers, Referees, Coaches, Admin, HSS, Housekeeping, Team Managers and all the parents a wonderful day. 🇿🇦🤼‍♂️🤼🔥

Tuks Wrestling continues to grow beyond its main performance hub on Serene Street, now operating at Constantia Park Primary, Elardus Park Primary, and most recently Anton van Wouw. Through these programs, we are contributing significantly to the development of young athletes and strengthening rugby foundations through wrestling.

Wrestling develops better tackling, balance, body control, confidence, and athleticism, skills that directly transfer onto the rugby field.
