This is an exciting opportunity for a driven construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
Requirements:
• Minimum 15 years' proven experience in the construction industry
• Extensive experience managing large-scale commercial, residential and/or mixed-use projects
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, programming, quality control, health and safety, and cost management
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and clients
• Strong problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related field
• Registration with a relevant professional body will be advantageous
Key responsibilities:
• Lead projects from inception to completion
• Manage project programmes, budgets, quality and safety
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and client teams
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required
• Ensure contractual compliance and effective risk management
• Mentor and develop junior project staff
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients

We're looking for an experienced 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗿 to join our growing team in 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻.
If you have a strong background in quantity surveying and enjoy working on commercial, residential and mixed-use construction projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements include:
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Experience in commercial, residential and/or mixed-use construction
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, procurement, contract administration, valuations and final accounts
• JBCC contract experience will be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction computer software
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession, or eligibility for registration, will be advantageous
Key responsibilities:
• Preparing cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities
• Managing project costs from inception through to final account
• Evaluating and certifying contractor payment claims
• Administering contracts and monitoring project cost control
• Preparing financial reports and cash flow forecasts
• Managing variations and claims
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a member of the Cape Courts & Civils team at The Village site.
The individual passed away on site due to natural causes.
