VICTIM SUPPORT CENTRE CALLING FOR HELP WITH DONATIONS

Victim-friendly facilities are set up at police stations so that victims are treated in privacy and confidentiality. They often have no opportunity to pack a bag and arrive at the Centre with only the clothes they are wearing.

The DA Women's Network (DAWN) partners with the Victim Support Centre at Walmer SAPS to assist where and when they can. The current need is for bare necessities such as :
facecloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, tissues, sanitary pads, notebook, ziploc bags, soap/body wash, lotion.

No victim is ever turned away. 🤗🙏🏻

The DA team was out this morning at the intersection of Humewood Road and Walmer Boulevard in South End, spreading the word about our Crime March taking place on 10 July.
