IDENTITY BEFORE ACCOMPLISHMENT
We live in a world that constantly tells us to prove ourselves. Do more. Achieve more. Be more successful. Be more impressive. Keep up with everyone else. But when our identity becomes attached to our accomplishments, insecurity begins driving our performance. And insecurity is never satisfied. It reaches one goal and immediately asks, “But was it good enough?” It celebrates one victory while already comparing it to somebody else's. It can accomplish everything it once prayed for and still struggle to enjoy the harvest.
“When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.” — 2 Corinthians 10:12
Comparison will make you question what God has already placed inside you. But there is another way to live. When we begin to see ourselves through God's eyes of love, we no longer have to perform for identity we can perform from identity. We don't have to prove that qe are worthy. We don't have to compete for somebody else's calling. We don't have to measure our progress against somebody else's timeline. Our security comes from knowing whose we are before worrying about what we have accomplished. And from that place comes something performance could never manufacture: peace, contentment and true authority. Your accomplishment is something you do. Your identity is who you are. Identity first, calling second. Accomplishment becomes the fruit.

Sometimes we pray for the blessing, but God is more concerned with whether we have the capacity to carry it well.

The waiting. The stretching. The correction. The hidden seasons. The doors that didn’t open when we thought they should. The lessons in humility, obedience, patience and surrender. What if some of it wasn’t rejection at all? What if it was preparation? Because greater influence requires deeper character. Greater provision requires greater stewardship. Greater responsibility requires greater discipline. And sometimes God develops something in us before He releases something to us.
Hebrews 12:11 reminds us that discipline may not feel joyful in the moment, but afterward it produces “the peaceable fruit of righteousness.” So don’t despise the season that is training you. God may not simply be preparing a blessing for you, He may be preparing you for the blessing. The process has purpose. The discipline has purpose. The waiting has purpose. May the Lord build in us the character and capacity to steward everything He entrusts to us. Don't just want the blessing, have a need to carry it well.

Keep Digging.
One of the most powerful lessons from Isaac's life isn't just that God blessed him, it's how he responded when people opposed him. Every time the Philistines filled in one of his wells, Isaac didn't waste his energy arguing, defending himself, or seeking revenge. He simply moved on... and dug another well. And every time he dug, God provided water again.
The blessing wasn't in the location. The blessing wasn't in people's approval. The blessing was on Isaac.
Sometimes persecution isn't proof that you're doing something wrong. Sometimes it's evidence that you're walking in the favour and purpose of God. Your obedience will make some people uncomfortable because it reminds them of what is possible when someone fully trusts the Lord. Don't spend your life trying to manage other people's offense. Don't shrink back to make others feel comfortable. Stay humble. Stay obedient. Keep serving. Keep digging.

In time, even Isaac's enemies had to admit:
"We have certainly seen that the LORD is with you."
— Genesis 26:28

May our lives bear so much fruit that our testimony speaks louder than every accusation, every misunderstanding, and every critic. Keep digging. The same God who filled Isaac's wells is still faithful today.

Mag jy met moed leef, met wysheid praat en met geloof elke uitdaging oorwin. Ek verklaar dat jy sal uitstyg bo elke beperking, dat God jou gawes sal ontwikkel en dat jy 'n lig vir ander sal wees. Waar jy jou voet neersit, sal die Here saam met jou gaan. Ek glo hierdie dubbele syfers spreuk van dubbele genade, dubbele guns, dubbele vreugde en dubbele seën oor jou lewe. Mag die Here vir jou deure oopmaak wat niemand kan sluit nie, en mag jy groei in wysheid, guns en liefde by God en mense. Gelukkige 10de verjaarsdag, my kosbare seun. Ek en Pappa Sarel Frederick Du Toit is ongelooflik trots daarop om jou ouers te wees. Ek bid dat jy altyd sal onthou wie jy is, 'n geliefde seun van die Allerhoogste, geroep vir 'n groot doel. Ons is lief vir jou, vandag en vir altyd.

The Little Things Matter.
We often pray for greater opportunities while overlooking the small assignments God has already placed in our hands. Faithfulness isn't proven on the stage, it's proven in the unseen moments. It's found in your discipline when no one is watching. Your integrity when no one is checking. Your consistency when no one is applauding. The Kingdom works differently. The little things are the test. Be faithful with what God has entrusted to you today, and let Him take care of tomorrow's promotion.

My heart is so full.
Thank you to every single person who took the time to send me a message, call, pray for me, or wish me a happy birthday. Every message, every kind word, and every blessing means more to me than you know. I don't take a single one of you for granted. As I reflect on today, I realize once again that life isn't measured by the big moments alone, it's also found in the little things. The quiet moments. The thoughtful gestures. The unexpected hugs. The laughter. The conversations. The tiny details that remind you that you are loved. To my husband, my best friend, my soulmate, thank you. ❤️ Thank you for making my birthday so special. Thank you for loving me through every season, for standing beside me, and for always noticing the little things that mean so much to me. You are my greatest earthly blessing, my safe place, and my forever friend. Until death do us part, I choose you over and over again. I love you more than words can express.
37 feels different. If you had asked me years ago what I thought happiness looked like, my answer would have been completely different. I spent far too many years chasing things that the world told me would satisfy, only to discover that nothing compares to knowing Jesus.
Today, I can honestly say that I have never felt richer, more blessed, or more fulfilled than I do at 37, not because life is perfect, but because I know the One who holds my life in His hands.
The greatest gift I have ever received is my relationship with Jesus Christ. If I have one regret, it's that I didn't surrender everything to Him sooner. But God's grace is so beautiful that He redeems even the years we think we've lost.
The Holy Spirit has become the greatest treasure of my life. His presence, His peace, His guidance, His conviction, His comfort, and His love are worth more than anything this world could ever offer. No achievement, possession, or success could compare with walking daily with Him. As I step into another year, my prayer is simple: Lord, let my life continue to glorify You. Use me wherever You choose. Let me love people well, remain faithful in the small things, and never lose the wonder of Your pre
