As the Chairperson of the Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre (EBMTC), I am honored to have witnessed the growth and transformation of this incredible institution over the years.

Looking ahead, we have a crucial responsibility to support the growth of the Artisan Academy and equip our participants with the necessary skills for new job opportunities. We recognize the challenges brought by mine closures and job losses in our country, and we stand ready to prepare NUM members and leaders for the future. Together, we can extend our training and development beyond NUM sectors, ensuring a brighter future for all.

Remember, education is the passport to the future. Let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead and prepare ourselves for the transformation of tomorrow.

EBMTC will be closed from the 14th of December and reopening on the 11th of January.
