Travelling all the way from the West Coast to Pretoria to compete at the MASA National Championships was an unforgettable experience. Our athletes represented Rio Grappling West Coast with outstanding sportsmanship.

It was an incredible journey going all the way from the WEST COAST to Pretoria for the MASA Nationals.

As coach to get to know your students on a different level, trusting each other and forming close friendship bonds. For the fighters to get the opportunity to test their skills on a National level, and succeeding in our goal. We have made such good friends with different clubs, Quinton and Shaun from Tricore Martial Arts Gym - Brackenfell you guys are amazing. Thank you for your kindness and support during this tournament. Congratulations on your excellent results.
This shows that even if we have to fight each other for a placement, we can most definitely be friends and comrades afterwards no matter the result.

🔥 Seminar & Grading Day with Master Roberto Atalla 🔥

Rio Grappling Club West Coast had the honour of welcoming Master Roberto Atalla, 6th degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, for his annual visit, seminar, and grading.

It was an incredible opportunity for our members to learn directly from one of the most respected figures in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The knowledge, details, and experience shared on the mats are something our team will carry forward in their training.

The club also held an in-house grading for members who were unable to attend the seminar, making sure everyone had the opportunity to be recognised for their hard work and progress.
