The trails are open for both u23 & over and will start at 09h00. Victor Matshogo has made a request to those who will be travelling from far to call 1st and inform the club that they are coming so that Accomodation can be reserved for them.

Tough Weekend for Stars

Munsieville Stars will be looking to put pressure on Gauteng ABC Motsepe league leaders this weekend when they host both Leruma United F.C and Tornado F.C
The game against Leruma United F.C was originally schuduled for last week friday 24th April but due to Memorial Service of South African Legend John "Shoes" Moshoeu, who was also a coach of Munsieville Stars F.C, the game has been reschuduled for this Friday 1st of May at Munsieville Stadium Kick-off at 15h00. The date for Yebo Yes United game which was schuduled for Freedom Day Monday the 27th haven't yet been relised as the game was postponed due to "Shoes" Funeral allowing players to pay last respect to their former Coach.

Munsieville Stars F.C will be looking for double over Leruma United F.C after they managed 2-1 victory in the 1st leg. Stars also managed to beat Tornado F.C 3-2 in the 1st leg, a team of which they will host on sunday 3rd May at Munsieville Stadium kick-off 15h00.

On their 1st year in Gauteng ABC Motsepe league, Munsieville Stars are seating pretty on 4th position with 48 points 6points behind League Leaders African All Stars F.C which has 54 points but played 1more game then Stars. Separeting them is JDR Stars and Alexander United. Munsieville Stars F.C has also managed double over NWU-Vaal F.C, Soweto Panthers F.C, PUBS F.C and Izinyoka F.C.

Let's wait and see if the will do double over Leruma United and Tornado F.C this weekend.

Stars pay tribute to their coach

Munsieville Stars f.c pay tribute to John Shoes Moshoeu who passed away on the 21st of April 2015. John joined Munsieville Stars after resigning at Alexander United in May 2014, a team that he made a comeback with in 2010 alongside Brian Baloyi.

John Moshoeu's football career came to live in 1993 when he join Current PSL Champions Kaizer Chiefs were he played only 14 games before joining the Turkey's side in Genclerbirligi. He then rejoined Chiefs again in 2003 when he came back to South Africa at the age of 37, helping them not only to their 1st PSL title but to defend it as well. In 2006 he went to join Amazulu before retirering in 2008.

Shoes was part of Banana Banana Squad that won the 1996 African Cup of Nations and was also capped 73 times for Bafana.

His memorial service was held on Friday the 24th of April 2015 at Grace Bible Church in Soweto 12:00 and his funeral will be held in Dobsonville stadium 09:00 on Monday the 27th April which is South African freedom day.
