🎾💎 JONG DIAMANTE STAAN HUL MAN IN CRADOCK!

Diamantveld het van 12–15 Augustus aan die Marilie Moolman-tennistoernooi in Cradock deelgeneem. Weens ons senior spelers se eksamenverpligtinge het ons vanjaar ’n besonder jong span, wat hoofsaaklik uit juniors bestaan, gestuur om aan dié o/18-toernooi deel te neem.

Ons jong spelers het hul uitstekend van hul taak gekwyt! 👏 Die seunspan eindig 8ste en die meisiespan 9de – ’n prestasie waarop ons baie trots is.

Diamantveld stap boonop weg met die trofee vir die beste talent van die toernooi! 🏆🎾

’n Verdere hoogtepunt was die benoeming van Resé Delport en Jeane Harding vir die gesogte Marilie Moolman-toekenning. Hierdie toekenning vereer spelers wat uitblink in nederigheid, respek vir die spel en teenstanders, deursettingsvermoë, sportmanskap en ’n positiewe ingesteldheid.

Diamantveld was die enigste skool met twee spelers wat vir dié besondere toekenning genomineer is – ’n groot eer en ’n bewys van die waardes waarmee Resé en Jeane ons skool op die tennisbaan verteenwoordig. 💙💛

Baie geluk aan al ons spelers! Ons is trots op die uitslae, maar nóg trotser op die karakter, respek en sportmanskap waarmee julle op én van die baan af opgetree het.

77 players from the Northern Cape, Free State, Western Cape, North West and Botswana border attended our Winter Camp in Kimberley from 6-8 July. We had 3 days of great tennis and lots of fun, making friends and good tennis memories 🎾

Lapésa coaches tennis at Park Tennis Club in Kimberley. We are proudly sponsored by Wilson for the past 20 years.

We have 4 TSA qualified coaches that register annually with Tennis South Africa.

TSA is affiliated with the ITF (International Tennis Federation) and uses the ITF syllabus for training and educating TSA coaches. We are 4 of 16 registered coaches in the Northern Cape. We are up to date with the Continuous Professional Development programme of Tennis South Africa. The CPD programme consist of 5 courses through a year with formal feedback after each course. This is done on the ITF Academy platform. Coaches can only register with TSA annually if CPD's are up to date.

We host 3 ranking tournaments as well as the Northern Cape Mini Masters every year to bring top quality competition to Kimberley and the Northern Cape. We are proud to deliver professional coaching and playing opportunities to all tennis players.

We also host a Winter Camp every June holiday where players of all levels come and develop their game and enjoy 3 days of coaching and playing.
