Quick detour through Zululand and it turned into something special
Two great Nyala bulls on the ground before we even smelled the ocean. That’s Africa for you, one minute you’re in the bush, next minute you’re chasing fish.

First time in Africa and what a start
Proper red lechwe
Good stalk, got in nice and close. Shot felt good and everything came together clean.
Beautiful setting and an unforgettable experience.
Big thanks to Petat as PH made it a special one.

Some dreams start long before the journey begins…
For this young hunter, Africa was always more than just a place on a map it was a dream shared with his dad. A dream built on stories, patience, and respect for the wild.
At just 8 years old, that dream became real.
This moment isn’t just about his first African animal. It’s about what comes with it the quiet understanding, the respect, and the responsibility that every true hunter carries. You can see it in the way he looks… not with excitement alone, but with appreciation.
Because hunting isn’t just about the shot.
It’s about the connection to nature, the lessons passed down, and the bond between father and son.
Today marks the beginning of something far bigger than a single hunt…
The start of a new generation of hunters, built on respect, gratitude, and tradition.
Africa has a way of shaping people and this young man is only just getting started.

✈️ USA Marketing Trip Begins! 🇺🇸
Today I’m heading out on a big marketing trip to the United States for Marupa Safaris and I couldn’t be more excited.
The route kicks off in San Antonio, then on to Michigan for meet-and-greets and a show, before heading south to Florida. From there it’s on the road through Alabama, back to Texas, then up to Iowa, and finishing off in Minnesota.
This trip is all about meeting people, building relationships, sharing stories, and introducing more hunters and families to authentic African safaris from world-class hunting to family-friendly trips and our bush and ocean experiences in South Africa.
Looking forward to great conversations, new friendships, and exciting opportunities along the way. If you’re in any of these areas and want to talk Africa, let’s connect!
Thank you to everyone for the continued support onward and upward. 🌍🦏✈️

Message to a young upcoming PH/Outfitter
Before you walk alone.... by PIETER VIVIERS
Tonight, there are young PHs and PHs not yet qualified lying in bed, thinking about doing their own thing.
That dream is good.
But remember this: how you get there matters more than getting there.
Learn from those who give you a chance.
Never step on the people who taught you the bush, trusted you with clients, or helped you grow. If someone helped you climb, don’t use them to get higher...
This industry is small.
Your name will travel faster than you do. Respect, loyalty, and patience will open more doors than ambition alone.
Be patient. Learn properly. Keep your word.
If you do it right, you won’t become just an outfitter or a PH
you’ll become one that lasts.
Happy Hunting

In 15 years of guiding safaris, this was probably one of the most exciting kudu hunts I’ve ever experienced.
As we all know, hunting on open, low-fence farms is always a real challenge, and that’s what makes moments like this unforgettable.
We first spotted this incredible bull at 1,300 yards and managed to close the distance to just 244 yards, where a perfect shot was made just before dark.
This is officially the biggest kudu we’ve ever taken in the Northern Cape!
Well done to Sofía Roca de Togores on a truly outstanding trophy and a hunt to remember.
