Congratulations to our South African Dance Board (SADB) Eastern Cape Provincial Representatives, Nicole Joka! β€οΈ
We are incredibly proud to see Nicoleβs beautiful work being showcased at the National Arts Festival Makhanda.
Her Ovation Award-winning production, LIMINAL, directed and choreographed by Nicole Joka, officially opened on Friday, 26 June. This remarkable production is a return to the essence of dance and a celebration of artistic excellence.

Before the Street Battles Came the Learning!
The South African Dance Board recently hosted a dynamic dance workshop in Bethal ahead of the festival competition.
Facilitated by Seipati Magagula and Mthobisi Soko, in partnership with Dope, Hot & Fresh - Multimedia , the Dance workshop took place at the Bethal Town Hall Banquet Hall on 20 June 2026.
The session provided young dancers with valuable skills, industry knowledge, and creative inspiration, preparing them for the main competition while encouraging personal growth and artistic excellence.
A heartfelt thank you to all the dancers who participated and embraced this opportunity to learn, grow, and showcase their talent. Together, we continue to empower the next generation through arts, culture, and education.

STREET DANCE KASI FREESTYLE COMPETITION 2026
Dope, Hot & Fresh - Multimedia in partnership with the South African Dance Board, proudly presents the Street Dance Kasi Freestyle Competition 2026 β a platform where talent, culture, creativity, and youth empowerment come together.
This exciting initiative is more than just a dance competition. Together, we are creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, express themselves, and showcase their talents in a positive, drug-free and alcohol-free environment.
