On May 29 in Kigali, alongside the BAL Finals, we brought together sports executives, athletes, investors, media professionals, and young people from across Africa for our annual convening, Behind the Game: Kigali 2026.

From conversations on leadership and investment to discussions on youth pathways into the industry, the event reinforced our belief that a thriving African sports ecosystem will be shaped not only by athletes, but also by the institutions, systems, and people working behind the scenes, beyond the field of play.
