Amateur Swimming Club Mandeville Dolphins Swimming is one of the largest and most successful of its kind in SA.

We have in excess of 200 members and we keep growing! Our Head Coach is Dean Price, himself an ex-Springbok Swimmer and currently Manager os Swimming Excellence at SSA. Dean is a "swimmer's coach" and that attitude is practised by all of our coaches. The club has a great 'esprit de corps' amongst swimmers, parents and coaches and an excellent support network

πŸŒπŸ… Back Lorenzo's Dream – Be His Buddy! πŸ…πŸŒ

We are incredibly proud to share that Lorenzo has qualified for the 12th World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships, taking place in Albufeira, Portugal, from 30 October to 7 November 2026 β€” a dream come true and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for sport.

But now comes the biggest challenge...
Like many South African athletes, qualifying for a world championship does not guarantee funding. Lorenzo must fully self-fund this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent South Africa on the world stage.

This is where YOU can make a difference.

πŸ’™ Become one of Lorenzo's "Back a Buddy" supporters by making a donationβ€”big or small. Every contribution brings him one step closer to competing against the world's best athletes and proudly wearing the South African colours.
Your support isn't just funding a tripβ€”it's investing in a young athlete's dream, promoting inclusion, and helping prove that determination knows no limits.

Together, let's help Lorenzo get to the World Down Syndrome Championships!
