Back Lorenzo's Dream β Be His Buddy! π
π
We are incredibly proud to share that Lorenzo has qualified for the 12th World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships, taking place in Albufeira, Portugal, from 30 October to 7 November 2026 β a dream come true and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for sport.
But now comes the biggest challenge...
Like many South African athletes, qualifying for a world championship does not guarantee funding. Lorenzo must fully self-fund this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent South Africa on the world stage.
This is where YOU can make a difference.
π Become one of Lorenzo's "Back a Buddy" supporters by making a donationβbig or small. Every contribution brings him one step closer to competing against the world's best athletes and proudly wearing the South African colours.
Your support isn't just funding a tripβit's investing in a young athlete's dream, promoting inclusion, and helping prove that determination knows no limits.
Together, let's help Lorenzo get to the World Down Syndrome Championships!
