The Robinson Dance Studio incorporates the amazing world of Highland and Irish dancing. We facilitate exam work, competition work and show work.
The Robinson Dance Studio has been teaching Highland and Irish dancing for the last 51 years. Our dancers have competed all over South Africa as well as over seas in Ireland and Scotland. Anyone can come experience the magic of celtic dancing. We cater for boys and girls from 4 years on and we also have adult classes available.

An Amazing workshop held by WPCDA and HTA in Cape Town last week. Our dancers had an amazing time and we couldn’t be happier with the excellent organisation and running of the workshop!

There is a reason the Highland sword dance still stops people in their tracks. The Ghillie Callum is danced over two crossed broadswords, and the old story says a warrior would dance it the night before battle. Touch a blade and it was taken as a dark omen for the fight ahead. ⚔️
So yes, Scotland looked at dancing and decided the floor should be able to fight back. Light feet, steady nerve, and centuries of pride packed into a few square feet of steel.
Every clean landing is a small victory handed down from the glens. 🏴
