No Supervision, No Practice: Continuous Professional Oversight is non-negotiable
Under Rule 5.7, SACAP requires that every architectural practice
operates under the direct and continuous supervision of a registered
professional.
This is not a formality—it is a safeguard for quality, ethics, and
public protection.
Continuous supervision ensures:
Consistent quality control across all projects
Full compliance with professional ethical standards
Clear accountability for all architectural outputs
Responsible decision-making within the practice
Without proper supervision, professional standards cannot be
guaranteed, and accountability becomes compromised.
Supervise continuously. Practice responsibly. Uphold the integrity of
architecture.

·SACAP approval is required when engaging unregistered persons;
· Approval will not be granted for individuals who should be registered but are not’
· All professional collaborators must be duly registered with their respective statutory councils
·Professional status must always be verified before collaboration begins; and
· This rule protects the integrity of the profession, ensures public safety, and reinforces accountability across all architectural projects.
