Wellbeing is about more than how people feel today. It’s also about where they see themselves going tomorrow.
The Open Learning Group team recently joined Transnet CTC’s Employee Wellness Day, where employees from across different roles came together for a day focused on health, connection and personal development.
Between the aerobics, laughter and activities, we had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with Transnet employees about their careers, where they are now, where they want to go next, and how further education can help them move forward.
For us, this is what workforce development should look like: recognising the whole person. Supporting employee wellbeing while also creating access to learning, career progression and new possibilities. ❤️🩹🍃
Thank you to Transnet CTC for welcoming OLG and creating a space where your people could invest in both their wellbeing and their futures.
🤲 We look forward to continuing conversations that help organisations develop their greatest resource, their people.

📊🚛 The industry is growing. Are your skills growing with it?
The article also highlights how initiatives like Traxtion's 'Shadow a Woman in Rail' Programme are helping break down barriers by giving learners first-hand experience alongside women working in technical, engineering and corporate roles. It's a powerful reminder that building a stronger industry starts with investing in people and creating opportunities for more diverse talent to enter the sector.
As South Africa continues to invest in rail and logistics infrastructure, the demand for skilled professionals will only continue to grow.

Every finish line begins with a single step-and every meaningful journey is strengthened by the people who take it together.🏃🏾♀️🤝
Open Learning Group was proud to attend the Waterfall City Half Marathon launch, where we met the event team, sponsors and spotlight runners, while connecting with the stakeholders helping to bring this community-building event to life.
The occasion strongly reflected one of our core values: 💛Heart in the Hustle. We believe that progress begins by taking the first step, continuing to show up and pushing beyond the boundaries of what you thought was possible.
We’re excited to be part of this journey and look forward to seeing the runners at the starting line, and celebrating with them as they cross the finish line.

As we reflect on the final day of the NZALO Careers Expo, we leave feeling encouraged by the potential, ambition and determination of so many high school learners. 📚🌟
Their energy reminded us that where you come from does not define where you are going. With the right guidance, information and opportunities, every learner has the power to build a meaningful future.🌍
Thank you to the INZALO Careers team, the participating schools and every learner who visited our stand, shared their goals and asked thoughtful questions about careers in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
A special shout-out to the learners from Dr Molefi Oliphant Secondary School, who reminded us that our role goes beyond helping young people choose a qualification. It is also about encouraging them to believe in themselves, make informed decisions and approach life with purpose.
🙏 We are grateful to have been part of these important conversations.
