🌍 Paige Badenhorst & Chris Baxter Head to the World Championships

Two of our athletes are flying the SA flag on the world stage, with Paige Badenhorst and Chris Baxter heading to Amsterdam for the 2026 World Rowing Championships, taking place from 24–30 August.

The pair have earned their place among the world’s best and will now take on some seriously tough international competition at the iconic Bosbaan.

Paige will compete in the Women’s Single Sculls, lining up against athletes from 27 countries, while Chris will take on the Men’s Single Sculls, with 41 nations represented in the field.

Their first heats are set for 26 August, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting week of racing.

From early mornings on the water at Old Eds to the biggest stage in rowing, this is a moment worth celebrating. We’re incredibly proud to see two of our own representing South Africa and Old Eds in Amsterdam.

Go Paige. Go Chris. We’ll be cheering you on from home! 🇿🇦🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️
