CAFU IN THE ZONE FOR HIS RETURN

With the Super-Flyweight division opening up, there is a lot of incentive for fighters competing in that weight class.

This is applicable for former WBO world champion Phumelela “The Truth” Cafu, who makes his long-awaited comeback on 1 August at the Beula Park Academy in Johannesburg.

After giving Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez the hardest fight of his career, Cafu was eventually stopped in the 10th round, with Rodriguez inflicting the South African’s first loss. Cafu is eager to get back to his winning form and earn another shot at a world title in the 115 lb division.

“I will be a world champion again, and I can tell you nobody’s safe,” said the charismatic and confident Cafu.

He takes on rugged and tough Filipino Jemuel Aranas in the main event over 10 rounds on Boxing 5 Promotions’ event entitled “NEW CHAPTER.” The exciting undercard will feature some of South Africa’s finest young talent.

It’s a boxing weekend for fans, as Larry Wainstein brings you the Cafu comeback on **1 August**, followed by a development tournament the next day—featuring some young, talented fighters making their debuts.
