Power series Round 3! Even with the small fall in practice that made me start at the back of the grid, sore body; and not so good brakes in race 1, I believe I have made good progress this round. 1 sec PB; P10 start to P4 finish in race 2👌🏽 I still believe I had 1:18 in me this weekend but we try again next time.
Thanks for working till 1am on Friday to make sure my bike is sorted for race day and U still manage to put in a 4 heats shift the next day😳💪🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽.
Thanks again to for letting us use your space for repairs🙏🏽 and rest put team for always making sure we get to have all this fun!!

Race Report

*Redstar Raceway Social Round 1*

I entered the CSRA/classic bikes class. Had been almost a year since I last raced our Lekka Racing slingshot beast! We had some work done to try improve it in the off season and we went into this weekend without enough testing. Friday practice the bike developed a clutch issue and AJ and Andre literally went to bed at midnight after making sure the bike was ready for Saturday race🙏🏽

Qualifying I only managed to put in one slow lap due to a battery issue that we didn’t foresee and the bike kept cutting out. This placed me almost last on the grid!!

Race 1 I pushed hard to catch to the front runners in the classics class and again while trying to fight for P2, the bike wouldn’t change down gears and that made me having to settle for P3 in classics.

Race 2, we pushed to fix the issue and was determined to push earlier and run at the front of our class. Got a good start and went thru the pack much quicker and chased Sakkie who was in P1 in our class from lap 3. But again the clutch was slipping from lap 1 and had to nurse it and make sure I see the checkered flag… with 2 laps to go I decided to push for P1 as I noticed I was catching the bike in front. I managed to barely cross the line 0.051 for P1 and this really made all the stress and hard work put in thru out the weekend feel worth it and I can’t thank enough my whole team for the patience and commitment to make sure we finish the weekend!! Looking for more classics bikes fun in 2026✊🏽💨
