a day in the mountains! ❤️⛰️

From the early-morning start to the final steps across the finish line, the 2026 Hout Bay Trail Challenge gave us so many special moments: tough climbs, technical descents, spectacular views, dirty legs, big smiles and the wonderful spirit of our trail-running community.

Here are just some of the faces, views and moments that made this year’s race so memorable.

Thank you to every runner, team member, volunteer, supporter and partner who helped make the day possible and congratulations to everyone who took on the challenge!

🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Hout Bay Trail Challenge champions! 🏆

A massive well done to Alick Kapito, who claimed the overall men’s title, and Tanya Kotze, our overall women’s champion.

The Hout Bay Trail Challenge is never an easy day out. Forty-two kilometres of rugged trails, relentless climbing and spectacular mountain scenery test every runner who stands on the start line. To come away with the overall victory is an incredible achievement.
